In 2003, Kamm Investment, Inc. purchased 100% of the private footwear and apparel manufacturer Du Phat Production & Trading, Ltd. Du Phat (Vietnam), Ltd., produces canvas shoes, slippers, leather shoes and other apparel products from its state-of-the-art Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Factory.

Du Phat Production and trading, limited was a private limited liability company formed in 1997 to produce footwear and apparel products mostly for the local Vietnamese market. Du Phat created a corporate strategy to focus sales, production and marketing efforts on the under-produced slipper and specialty shoe market. Further, although Du Phat has always maintained the ability to produce many types of footwear and apparel products, the recent trends towards non-formal footwear has allowed Du Phat to focus on this industry.

 

In 1999, Kamm Investment provided Du Phat with strategic and management planning services. In addition, Kamm Investment provided Du Phat with a convertible loan to assist with its organic expansion. It was during this time that Du Phat began an international sales campaign aimed at securing sales in the European community, Japan, Thailand and the Middle East. The company was very successful in its strategy and continues to enjoy an ever-increasing level of sales from these areas of the world.
